Dr. Jonathan Bruner

Dr. Bruner is a Board Certified Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Physician. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan School of Education with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2002. Following College, he attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2006. During his third and fourth year of medical school he did his training within the Henry Ford Health System and following that he went on to complete his Traditional Rotating Internship through the Henry Ford Health System as well. He completed his Residency training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM, aobnmm.org) through Michigan State University in 2009. During his residency he helped to better teaching rotations, improve patient care and completed a research study, "How to find an OMM Patient". His senior year he earned the title of Chief Resident and carried the increased responsibility of overseeing the other Residents. After graduation, he continued to work as a Physician/Instructor with the MSU Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department and is the only person to have taught at all three campuses. During his time there he became the leader of the MSU Statewide Campus System NMM/OMM Didactics, the Residency Director for the both the MSU and Sparrow Health System NMM/OMM Residency Programs and became one of the busiest clinicians in the practice. Throughout the years he has worked on many research projects relating to NMM and done extensive work with journal clubs. He has also been a member and Chairperson of the MSU Osteopathic Practices and Principles Committee. He ran a very successful Musculoskeletal private practice from 2016-2019. In 2019 he took an amazing opportunity to be a member of the inaugural Osteopathic Principals and Practices Department with Nova Southeastern University in Clearwater, FL.
